Kathmandu- Nepal Rastra Bank, Birgunj office has requested to use only legal means while conducting any financial transaction. Director of the office Rajandev Bhattarai has requested to use only legal means while conducting financial transactions.

He expressed this view while addressing the ‘Financial Literacy Program’ of Global Money Week, 2022 in Pokhariya Municipality of Parsa on Saturday.

He discussed the current state of financial literacy, the growing banking fraud, cyber crime and illegal financial transactions, and suggested that the public use only legal means to conduct any financial transaction.

Likewise, Mayor of Khariya Municipality Dipnarayan Prasad Rauniyar, who was present as the chief guest at the event, suggested the locals of the municipality to take advantage of banking services such as savings account, money transfer and making good use of loans as the number of banks and financial institutions has increased in the municipality. He also urged to enhance banking conduct in daily financial transactions and to impart banking knowledge and information to others at the local level.

The program was chaired by Director Bhattarai and was attended by Deputy Director Mrs. Sudha Shrestha, Acting Deputy Director Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Assistant Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Birgunj Office Pradip Bania, representatives of Class A Bank of Birgunj, ward representatives of Pokhariya Municipality and various locals.
