Kathmandu: Dhumbara-based Hams Hospital is going to start ‘Emergency Nursing Training’.

Considering the need for emergency training for nurses who are on duty at all times in the field of public health, Hams is going to start a three-month ‘Emergency Nursing Training’.

The training will enhance the professional skills and knowledge of the nurses and make the treatment received by the patients more quality, said Varuna Poudel, director of nursing at the hospital.

She says, ‘Since there are different types of patients coming to the emergency department, the treatment is determined based on the treatment they receive in the beginning. Therefore, our main objective is to provide quality nursing services by expanding the knowledge and professional skills of the nurses working in this department. ‘

He said that the interested nurses should have applied for this within 25 February. According to him, the training will be provided to 30 nurses in the first phase of the training which will be started from April 20 in collaboration with the Society of Emergency Nurses of Nepal.

With this initiative of the hospital, which is one of the hospitals providing health services by various senior doctors with new technology, Hams has become the first hospital in Nepal to start ‘Emergency Nursing Training’ from the private sector.
