Pithoragarh- Nepal-India military training has started in the UK.

The training of Nepal-India Joint Battalion level military training ‘Surya Kiran’ has started from today in Pithoragarh, UK.

During a special inauguration ceremony today, both the parties have started the training by presenting their national and military tunes.

During the training, which will run till October 3, one person from each of the Nepali and Indian armies will be trained to share their experiences on internal security development and counter-terrorism operations and rescue.

Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant SS Mahal, GOC, Northern Region, India, addressed the gathering and encouraged the participants to build mutual trust, internal knowledge and best training through training.

About 650 security personnel from both the armies are participating in the training.

Earlier, the Nepal Army, which reached Pithoragarh last Saturday, was traditionally welcomed.
