Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai has said Nepal entered new era with the adoption of federalism and new constitution.
Inaugurating the Bahanepokhari festival 2076 here Tuesday, CM Rai argued that Nepal got the strongest and stable government for the first time in history. “It is the time for peace, political stability, good governance and prosperity,” he said, adding that time has come for all to devote to country’s development. The CM reminded that the governments in the past were short-lived, and that has now come to an end.
He further argued, “The only agenda before the government is sustainable development.”
CM Rai hailed that State 1 is full of tourism potential. It can bring in number of tourists. He urged the local level representatives to conduct the activities that lure domestic and foreign tourists. “Engage in tourism and agriculture,” he said, adding that it prepare solid base to State 1’s development.
The festival has been organized by Aiselukharka rural municipality. It has aimed at promoting the touristy place, Bahanepokhari, located at the height of 2,700 meter from the sea level.
