Chief Minister of state-5, Shankar Pokhrel, has said that special attention should be paid in physical infrastructure and hospitality for tourism promotion. Laying foundation stone for a Botanical Garden going to be constructed at the premises of New Hariyali Community Forest at Baijanath rural municipality-6 in Banke today, Chief Minister said,” Only plants can not attract tourists. Special attention should be paid on physical infrastructure and hospitality for the same.” He stressed that the local government should be committed to protect the infrastructures constructed by state government, adding that the local government should be involved in a planned manner in tourism promotion. The Chief Minister argued, “The plan of botanical garden would get completion only if there is direct participation of locals.” The garden is going to be constructed at a cost of Rs 10.6 million.
