On the occasion of Visit Nepal Year 2020, the 5th Kageswari festival is being held from coming February 17 to 19. The festival is organised to promote the Kageswar dham located in ward no. 1 of the Kageswari municipality and thereby attract foreign and domestic tourists. Accordingly, a 13-member committee has been formed led by local Shyam Lama to make the festival successful. The festival will begin from February 17 with sanitation and cleanliness, literature festival on February 18 and a special function will be held on February 19, according to ward no. 1 chair Mukunda Gajurel. A new added attraction of Kageswari dham is the construction of a 227 kg metal crow, which is said to be the biggest crow statute in the country. The Ganesh statue from the Licchavi period and a cave are other attractions of the religious side. Furthermore, a 1,000 kilogramme crow statue is being constructed at the Democratic park, which will be the biggest crow statue in the world. Kageswari, adjoining the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is also a popular site for nature lovers. It also gives a very beautiful aerial view of Kathmandu valley.
