Women tourism entrepreneurs have sought their additional role on tourism business. At an interaction organized by the Women Tourism Entrepreneurs Forum (WOTEF) on ‘opportunity and challenges to women in tourism business’ here today, the women entrepreneurs dwelt on how they could excel in entrepreneurship and make the management more effective.

At the discussion, founding chairperson of Media Advocacy Group, Babita Basnet, reminded that women had become successful in entrepreneurship of late, thereby playing leading role on social transformation. She argued that social structure would be robust and dynamic with women entrepreneurship and help pave way for economic progress. So, women must be given role with authority.

Proprietor and vice chairperson of Hotel Landmark, Parbati Pande, said some of the women affiliated to the WOTEF were not still open to share problems, thereby getting themselves inflicted with mental problems over minor issues.

Advisor to WOTEF and tourism entrepreneur Durga Devkota hoped the interaction would be a good platform to exchange views and experiences on women tourism business.

WOTEF chairperson Jamuna Parajuli informed that the organization, set up under the slogan of women tourism entrepreneurs for economic development, was conducting training and discussion on the pertinent issues from time to time.
