Sudurpaschim State chief minister Trilochan Bhatta has said the government employees should mandatorily get their children enrolled in government schools. He said this while speaking at the foundation-laying programme of the Nijamati Karmachari Bidyalaya (school for children of civil servants) being constructed by the Sudurpaschim State Government. The school is being constructed at Bagneti of Dipayal Silgadhi municipality-4 in the district. The Chief Minister expressed his displeasure saying the employees who were drawing their salary from the state treasury were admitting their children in private boarding schools. He stated that data is being collected of the government employees throughout the Far-west State who have enrolled their children in private boarding schools. Chief Minister Bhatta on the occasion stressed on the need of abolishing the chhaupadi practice from society. Those adopting this harmful social practice should be socially boycotted, he said. Stating that the federalism has opened the door to development, he claimed the State Government was working by addressing the people’s needs. Chief Minister Bhatta also suggested that the people should monitor the works carried out by the government. The two storied school building to be constructed would have six rooms. Its estimated construction cost is Rs 23.9 million. The construction will be completed by December 2021.
