Dhangadhi – Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Province 7, Jhapat Bahadur Bohara, has said the province government wanted to make the most out of the existing state-owned media houses by further increasing their efficiency instead of opening new ones.
The province government minister said this during his meeting with chairman of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Harihar Adhikari ‘Shyamal’ here last evening.
He urged the RSS leadership to come up with a proposal expressing what sorts of support and help the organisation expected from the province government to make presence effective in the changed context.
On the occasion, chair Shyamal said, “The RSS news services could be the means of linking federal, province and local governments with each other and the people as well.”
The RSS hoped to get policy-level and financial support from the province government. He took the time to say that the government policies and programmes had been given priority in the RSS news services. (RSS)
