Kathmandu – Prime Minister and chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), KP Sharma Oli briefed the party secretariat meeting today about the government’s international relations and contemporary issues.

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar.
On the occasion, PM and party chairman Oli informed about the initiatives the government has been undertaking for expanding the international relations and also about further collaboration in development works including the post-earthquake reconstruction, CPN spokesman Narayan Kaji Shrestha said.

The meeting discussed the preparations regarding unification of party’s province, district and people’s organisation units. The meeting concluded agreeing to convene another meeting soon.

The meeting, however, did not discuss the topic of the resignation by party spokesman Shrestha, which he is said to have tendered in the secretariat’s meeting two weeks back, citing his differences with the party leadership over the issue of Dr Govinda KC’s hunger strike. The topic of Shrestha’s resignation did not figure in the meeting agenda either.  (RSS)
