Kathmandu– Noted artist and literary figure Manuj Babu Mishra passed away due to cardiac arrest this morning. He was 83.

Mishra breathed his last at 2.00 am while he was asleep at his residence, said the family sources. Suffering from high blood pressure, Mishra has not come outside his residence (cave) for the past two decades.

His autobiographical piece ‘Adhai Dashak Gufama (Two-and-a-half Decades in Cave)’ was published two years ago.

The Late Mishra is the father of Coordinator of the Bibeksheel Sajha Party, Rabindra Mishra, and Principal of College of Journalism and Mass Communications, Dr Manju Mishra.

Mishra’s last rites will be performed after the arrival of his youngest son from abroad. He is survived by wife, two sons and two daughters. RSS
