Kathmandu – The main opposition party in parliament, Nepali Congress, is convening a meeting of its central working committee today to discuss the contemporary political situation.
The meeting has been called for 3 pm at the party’s central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur. The meeting shall also deliberate on internal topics of the party, party spokesman Bishwa Prakash Sharma said.
He said the meeting will also form a party statute amendment drafting committee and also discuss on mobilizing the party’s internal organization.
Topics as the rejection by the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee the name of Deepak Raj Joshi, who was recommended for appointment to the post of Chief Justice and the party being compelled to boycott the parliament meeting some days back as the NC lawmakers were not allowed to ask questions to the Home Minister, among others, will also likely figure in the meeting.
