NS mark to 25 foreign goods

Kathmandu– The Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology has granted Nepal Standard (NS) mark to 25 goods produced by foreign industries.

In the previous fiscal year 2017/18, the Bureau awarded the NS mark to 25 goods produced by 20 Indian and Chinese industries. Of them, 13 are cement produced by eight industries, two composite cylinder, three LPG cylinder, three LPG valve, three iron bar and one LPG regulator, according to the Bureau sources.

The Bureau began awarding NS symbols to goods produced by foreign countries since last year. “The number of foreign industries acquiring NS mark is increasing gradually,” said the Bureau Director General Biswababu Pudasaini. RSS
