Rasuwa – Traffic along the Ghattekhola section of the Rasuwagadhi highway leading to the border point with China has been obstructed after the bridge over the Ghatte river was damaged by flood water.
Traffic has been halted to minimize the risk, Chief District Officer Krishna Poudel said. A technical team has begun a study into the damage caused to the southern foundation of the bridge.

The damage was caused by the rising water level in the river following incessant rainfall on Friday. The bridge was built with support of the Chinese government and the Department of Roads technicians will coordinate with the Chinese side to resume transportation as soon as possible, CDO Poudel said.
As a result, the country is losing revenue collection worth ten million rupees everyday. (RSS)
