Bhaktapur – Member of the House of Representatives, Mahesh Basnet, has started monitoring the development activities in Bhaktapur district.
The former Industry Minister has said that he has taken this initiative for expediting the development works in the district by evaluating the effectiveness of works carried out through the budget that was allocated to the district in fiscal year 2017/18 for the construction of various physical infrastructures like roads, drinking water, sewerage and schools.

According to lawmaker Basnet, the monitoring has been started to check the status of works carried out under various projects undertaken with the budget allocated by the Division Roads Office, Bhaktapur; the Urban Development Project, Bhaktapur; the Water Supply and Sanitation Office, Bhaktapur; and those projects undertaken with the budget sanctioned by the central government.

The monitoring will be done by a team comprising the Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta, Urban Development Project chief Nawaraj Pyakurel, Division Roads Office Bhaktapur chief Guru Prasad Adhikari, Bhaktapur Police Range chief Himalaya Kumar Shrestha, CPN Bhaktapur district president Bachan Deuja and the chiefs of the related offices. Lawmaker Basnet would be leading the monitoring team formed at his own initiation.  (RSS)
