Kathmandu– ‘Annapurna Post’ International Corporate Badminton Competition’ has kicked off in the capital from today.

Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Bishwakarma and Chairperson of the Annapurna Media Network Rameshwor Thapa jointly inaugurated the fourth edition of the competition by playing badminton against each other at the National Sport Council’s Covered Hall.

On the occasion, Minister Bishwakarma pledged to resolve the issues prevailing in the sports sector in the country and upgrading Nepal in the international ranking of badminton.

A total of 422 players from home and abroad are vying in the competition to be held in 10 rounds and in different category such as male single, female single, male doubles, female doubles among others, organizers shared.

The event will go through July 28. RSS
