Kathmandu, July 17: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed sorrow over the demise of Dharan Sub Metropolis mayor Tara Subba. PM has mentioned that he was saddened with the demise of a popular and clean people’s representative like Subba.
Subba passed away today while undergoing treatment at Grande Hospital in Kathmandu.
The 52-year-old Subba was suffering from pneumonia and had been receiving treatment for the same, according to the Dharan Sub-metropolis sources. Subba had also been suffering since long from diabetes and had undergone kidney transplantation three years ago.
Active in communist movement in affiliation with then CPN-UML since his student life, Mayor Subba was also chair of the party’s town committee.
