Kathmandu, July 16: The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has warned to shut down all health services excluding emergency service across the country for indefinite period if Prof Dr Govinda KC’s demands were not met.
Issuing a press release here today, NMA general-secretary Dr Lochan Karki said that apart from emergency services all the services of health facilities including public and private teaching hospitals, nursing homes and clinics will be closed if the demands of agitating Dr KC were not heeded.
The government has not shown any concern to save the life of Dr KC who has been on hunger strike in Jumla for the past 17 days, reads the statement, expressing worry for the government not showing any responsibility to that end.
