Birgunj, July 3: At least 10 people, who were swept away by the incessant rain-fed Sikta River in the western belt of Parsa district, were rescued alive.
A team from Bhiswa Police Post rescued eight women and two men alive last night.
The downpour-triggered flood stormed into human settlements sweeping away 10 local people. The river nearby Sabaithawa suddenly gusted into the locality in the evening and took them away.
Sub-Inspector of Bhiswa Police Post Roshan Adhikari shared that those stuck in the floods were rescued alive in the night and returned home.
