Achham, June 27: The water measuring centre has been brought into operation again in Kamal Bazaar of Achham district after two years of disruption. The rain gauge system was reestablished with the initiatives of the Kamal Bazaar Municipality.
It has become accessible for the locals to get information on flood and water induced disasters in the district after setting up the meteorological instrument. The instrument kept in the District Administration Office, Achham, would give information and emergency siren would produce sound when disaster strikes in the district.
The Municipality allocated Rs 426,000 for the solar panel and made other logistic supports to set up the instrument for disseminating information on temperature, rainfall, flood and disasters too.
