Rolpa– People in the east Rolpa have been facing hassle due to disruption of telephone service for some days.
The telephone tower at Satdobato of East Rolpa conked out after the lightning coupled with storm. Gam, Siuri and Seram villages of Sunchhari Rural Municipality have been suffering from the disconnection.
With the disruption, people here are forced to walk for hours for essential communications, said a local teacher Dev Singh Thakuri.
Telecom Rolpa has said the system in the tower was burnt down due to lightning. Technician Pratap Kumar Mahato informed that Zonal Office Tulsipur was already informed about the immediate need of fixing the dysfunctional telephone tower because more skilled human power was required for it.
