Kathmandu, May 21(RSS): The government is to keep the age- limit for retirement of civil servants as it is (58 years). According to Spokesperson for the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Suresh Adhikari, the Ministry has, amending the draft of the bill of Federal Civil Service Act, proposed the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs to keep the existing provision relating to the retirement age unchanged. The draft had recommended for increasing the age limit for official retirement by two years and fixing it at 60.
It may be noted that earlier, the High Level Administrative Reform Suggestions Committee headed by Kashiraj Dahal recommended 60 years as the age-limit for retirement of civil servants and government employees and it was given space in the draft of bill.
