Phalebas, Parbat, May 16 (RSS): A 20-year-old youth accused of raping a differently-abled 79 years of woman in the district has been remanded in custody for further interrogation.
A bench of District Judge Dhruba Prasad Sapkota on Tuesday remanded Shankar Pariyar of Modi Rural Municipality in the district to custody as per 118 (2) of Muluki Ain.
Pariyar was charged of raping the 79-year-old woman on April 19 when she was alone in her house at Deurali village in Modi Rural Municipality-3.
Later the police had lodged the case in the District Court after the victim informed her relatives about the incident.
Pariyar has admitted his involvement in the rape case adding that he was drunk on that time.
