Kathmandu, May 16 (RSS): Deputy-Governor of Sichuan Province of China, Peng Qinghua, paid a courtesy call on Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun.

During the meeting held at the Office of the vice-President on Wednesday, Vice-President Pun said that the country has been moving ahead towards path of political stability, development and prosperity.

He said that there was need of support of China in Nepal’s prosperity and added that Nepal has been trying to take maximum benefit from the ‘One Belt One Road’ initiative.

Saying Nepal is a virgin land for investment, the Vice-President urged Chinese investors to invest in the sector of energy, agriculture, tourism, railway and physical infrastructure sectors. He said that both the countries should think for trade balance, saying though Nepal’s business with China is increasing, Nepal has been bearing trade deficit.

Similarly, the Deputy-Governor said that Nepal-China relation is very friendly and China is always for the development of Nepal.

He further said that China and Sichuan Province have wanted to invest in Nepal’s energy, agriculture, road network and railway sectors.
