Lalitpur, May 15 (RSS): Economic experts have said the country would steer to the path of prosperity following effective implementation of federalism.

The experts said this at an interaction programme jointly organized here today by Prosperity Foundation, Econiti and Economic Forum ‘Beneficial Use of Federalism for Prosperity’.

They advised the government to take the country ahead to the path of development by effectively implementing federalism without any delay.

Former Finance Secretary Rameswor Khanal said the effective mobilization and management of resources would accelerate country’s development. The current banking system would enrich the rich and weaken the poor, he claimed. “The lending system based on collateral would not help reduce poverty”, he stressed.

Secretary at National Natural Resource Management and Fiscal Commission Baikuntha Aryal also stressed the need to widen the scope of resource. “The foremost need of the country at the moment is the management and mobilization of economic resources”.

Also speaking on the occasion, Laxmi Group Director Niranjan Shrestha said all the process required for the operation of industry including registration should now be done from province and local level.
